Making New Orleans Businesses Money via Digital Marketing and Brand Strategy

My House EVENTS

Being a long-time Brand Manager of My House Events has given me the very new challenge of dictating my own course of work to make a company more visible and understandable to its consumers on a local and nationally growing scale.

What began with the tough challenge of properly articulating the concept to potential clients, vendor partners, and potential national networks, has since become the deep dive into a rebranding effort. The website has just recently undergone a complete a refresh by Anna Koeferl with direction by myself and the owner.

Additionally through My House Events, I work on client materials for Capulet Bywater, a venue where My House Events caters exclusively.

DNO

DNO (Defend New Orleans) is currently my biggest project and deepest focus. A brand that’s lasted locally with national recognition for 16 years has recently shifted away from a past, well-known identity. The brand is currently looking to progress into more of a nationwide focus, and I create a lot of their big picture strategy and consequent analysis.

My work with DNO includes:

  • Brand content and engagement strategy creation

  • Brand content guide creation

  • Collaborative experiential activation planning and execution

  • Content scheduling and direction

  • Drive organization for all internal assets, documents, and processes

  • Newsletter ideation and direction

  • Leading A/B testing initiatives

  • Production research

  • Retail and content playlist curation

  • Sales goal creation and implementation for Retail Team

  • Routine strategic planning for campaign content, collaborations, event activations, and overall business strategies for increased revenue.

  • Routine revenue analysis for retail and online

  • Site content SEO and copy

  • Sponsored ads and social media analytics

  • Styling and shot lists

  • Systems organization and project management

 Chido + The dAILY BEET

The owner of these two establishments reached out to one of my clients, inquiring if I could handle a few menu edits, and I jumped at the chance. I have since re-formatted and adjusted the layout of the Daily Beet Menu and was given free rein to create the site & menu for the owner’s newest concept Chido in 2018. Play around on the site, and check out the menus in the graphics page.

Bourbon Saloon Inc.

Bourbon Saloon Inc. gave me the ambitious task of launching a medium-sized, local food & beverage corporation into the digital world! I was given full authority and responsibility to plan, shoot, and post for all digital media for their companies: The Old Absinthe House, Mango Mango Daiquiris, & Rue Bourbon Balconies. This opportunity pushed me to teach myself basic graphic design and photo editing.

nola couture

I met the lovely women at NOLA Couture while working in the neighborhood at my then part-time job at Warby Parker. The women that run this company are passionate, hardworking, and undeniably inspiring. I was given the freedom to photograph their products, schedule posts, and manage the Facebook and Instagram pages for their companies: NOLA Couture, NOLA Sewn, and Charleston Krewe. I also created a basic Content Guide for ease in training future social media interns.

Some of my most successful posts by engagement are featured above, and some of my work has been reused since.

Warby Parker, nEW ORLEANS

While working as an Operations Associate for this location, I also took on the roles of Brand Lead and Portrait Photographer. On weekends, I took free portraits of customers to give them a memorable experience in the store. I was also held responsible for proper execution and planning for the brand team's quarterly marketing events. Above, you'll see the Givers concert I assisted in executing for their Summer 2016 concert series and a personal photo of mine which was featured on Warby Parker's blog.
